I used to be a sinner, caught up in the ways of this world. But Thank God one day he seen fit to give me one more chance and do away with all that, and make me an heir to a throne, with a crown of life waiting.... God called me in Febuary of 2009 to preach the gospel, God is still in control, He took a no body and made him a child of the KING... Amen

I was saved at the age of 11 at vacation bible school. My grandparents drove out of their way to pick my sister and I up for church everytime the doors were open. I guess being the first born I had a inner desire to be a people pleaser and do what people expected of me, so all of my childhood and through to my teenage years I knew I was saved and on my way to heaven but I really did not go above and beyond for the Lord. When I met Josh and began to see how on fire for the Lord people were, I felt like I had missed out on something great. After going on a womens retreat when I was 22 it hit me - how could you not be on fire for the Lord and strive everyday to become more like him and humble yourself to the fact that we are sinners saved by grace. He chose each and every one of us - He called us by name!! I used to be a sinner til Jesus saved me by grace, I used to be lost without hope til Jesus took me in!!

I am glad to say that I am a used to be. I know what God has brought me from and it is important in my life to know he has changed me. If I awoke each morning knowing I had no forgiveness for my past it would be difficult for me to go through my day. I've made so many mistakes, I've done unforgettable things yet God has forgiven me. I am grateful for his forgiveness and for his love. I also love the fact that I am an old fashioned worshiper. I like excitement in a service. I like to know that after attending a church meeting or concert that I have worshiped God. I sometimes feel his presence in a service just as if he were standing next to me. I sense that presence and I know he is there with me. So call me old fashioned, call me crazy, call me insane but I like the old time way, and I like that I am a used to be....
